Job Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a variety of innovation projects, including support for the development of new devices, new consumer packaged goods, and other services and products necessary to support the Corporate Innovation’s departmental goals. These projects are complex, ambiguous, touch many areas of our business, and require an extremely strong level of organization and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct periodic project audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Identify potential suppliers and sub-suppliers, establish a set of requirements (including quality thresholds) for all suppliers, and manage supplier relationships as needed
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits
  • Oversee and manage a team of Engineers responsible for the draft, design, and development of devices
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for management and execution of innovation projects, including defining business requirements, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and ensuring all requirements are met
  • Lead discussions with team members and other departments to align on objectives, activities, timelines, and outputs supporting the Corporate Innovation agenda
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including project plans and progress reports.
  • Establish project timelines with key milestones, identify dependencies, track progress, and ensure project meets or exceeds all requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing technical project teams, including a basic understanding of manufacturing principles
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a certain degree of autonomy and/ or in a team
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity while applying strategy and processes appropriately
  • 3 years experience in change management, project management, process improvement
  • Time management skills with an ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems, and obstacles, and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully, and work on tight deadlines
  • Collaborative spirit to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures, with credibility and diplomacy
  • Knowledge of project management and engineering software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Project, Excel, and other standard programs for project, business, and financial management
  • Experience with optimization processes (e.g. optimization of strategic planning, sourcing, logistics, finance processes, performance management, etc.)
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably in regulated products
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in project management or related field
Travel
Travel 20%-30%
Preferred
  • 1 year experience negotiating with third-party suppliers
  • Experience in product development for a vapor or similar device
  • MBA degree
  • 5 years experience in an entrepreneurial or cross-functional environment, business development, project management, or related area
