Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful General Contractor in the Washington DC area on their search for a Project Manager for Commercial Tenant Improvement/Ground-Up construction projects up to $50MM.

The Project Manager will serve as the company's point of contact both with the client and with the construction team when required. You will engage in and influence the safety culture and have the authority to make decisions on the General Contractor's behalf about such items as cost and schedule.

Title: Project Manager - Commercial Construction (5+ years)

Project Types: Ground-Up Commercial (Office Buildings, Schools, Restaurants, Hotels)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee & Direct the project schedules and budgets for successful completion of each project.
• Work with Superintendents to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
• Manage project deliverables
• Oversee and Develop and maintain a good relationship with Owner, Architect, and Subcontractors
• Oversee and mentor the project staff to foster a positive team setting
• Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable.
• Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and design consultants.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction
• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred NOT required.
• Commercial TI experience and/or Commercial Ground-Up Experience
