Job Overview
The Project Manager (CMO) will be responsible for successfully implementing a specific project within the SHL Pharma CMO. He/she will work closely with team members to ensure that project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are always on track. Overall responsibilities are planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and assessing project risk and project team leadership.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
- Perform project risk management to minimize project risks and escalate identified risks at an early stage.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs and ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on planned changes.
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements and track project costs in order to meet budget.
- Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable a successful implementation of the final customer solution.
- Work with the Project Team to develop a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Forecast resources needed to reach objectives; assemble a Project Team with the appropriate range of skills and experience and make sure that all members have the prerequisites to optimally perform their tasks.
- Define project scope, objectives and major milestones in alignment with sponsor and appropriate stakeholders.
- Organize and lead regular project team meetings to exchange on current project status, to discuss current issues and possible solutions and to agree on further actions.
- Monitor project performance to identify areas for improvement and adjust as needed.
- Provide project updates on a regular basis to various stakeholders about deliverables, required adjustments, and overall progress.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to encourage and enable people to work together as a team to reach common goals
- 3+ years’ experience in project management or lead technical role within the medical device or biotech industry
- Time management a must and project risk management skills a plus
- Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
- Ability to influence decisions that need to be made to make the project successful
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related technical discipline
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management and project governance
