JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator to support projects and initiatives for the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). The Project Coordinator will support the activities of the Associate Director (AD) who provides oversight of several cores and will also support other strategic initiatives within CTSI. This position will include managing timelines, scheduling, data collection, data monitoring, and data entry, reconciling receipts and purchases, travel reimbursement, and preparation of reports and presentations. This position will require excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
The mission of the Penn State CTSI is to promote and support interdisciplinary, high-impact, clinical, and translational health research, including by serving as a University-wide institutional infrastructure resource. The CTSI is housed in the Penn State CoM at the Hershey campus and in the College of Health and Human Development (CHHD) at the UP campus. It is the institutional home for the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), one of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The CTSI is comprised of an administrative core and seven other cores covering Education and Training (Kl2 and TL Fellows), Research Methods, Informatics, Clinical Operations, Workforce Development, Pilot Awards and Community Engaged Research. This position, reporting to the AD, will support various projects and initiatives within the Institute, working across multiple cores to support the strategic initiatives and oversight of the AD.
Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented; produce high-quality work; communicate clearly and accurately in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing; demonstrate strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills. This position may be a hybrid. Occasional travel from COM to University Park may be required.
This position typically requiresaBachelor'sdegree or higherplus4years of related experienceoran equivalent combination of education and experience.
