Description


Seeking a Project Coordinator to support a contract supporting the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Office of Behavioral Health Equity (OBHE) across five domains: 1) Policy, 2) Data, 3) Workforce Development and Practice Improvement, 4) Communications, and 5) Technical Assistance, Partnerships and Customer Service. These domains form the organizing framework for OBHE and each domain contains signature programs and initiatives.


This position is contingent on Task Order award.


Responsibilities


  • Assists the PM with logistics and facilitation of regular formal meetings, events and planning sessions; as well as obtaining program status reviews
  • Helps the PM prioritize resources and manage schedules, cost, and risk to ensure efficient delivery of all contracted requirements
  • Schedules meetings
  • Assists the PM with responding to emails, calls, and requests from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) within a 24-hour period or sooner
  • Helps develop project schedules, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Assists Program Manager (PM) with day-to-day operations and planning of task order activities and events
  • Performs a diverse range of coordinating tasks, such as risk management, administrative duties, project documentation and handling financial and other queries
  • Works closely with the project manager to prepare detailed action plans with the necessary resources, timeframes and project budgets for projects


Requirements


  • At minimum, two (2) to five (5) years of specific experience coordinating projects, organizing data, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in behavioral health systems, infrastructure, administration, and management and addressing health or behavioral health disparities at the community and systems level.
  • Two (2) years of experience organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks in accordance with project timeline or schedule. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to define problems, collect information, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiar with using project tracking software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 Professional Project Management).
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in Behavioral Health, Healthy Equity, and Addiction Medicine.
