AeroTEC is currently seeking a Project Accountant to join our team.
The Project Accountant is responsible for supporting the business by researching, preparing and analyzing company financial information. This includes, under the supervision of the Finance Controller, maintaining records and general ledgers, preparing, and analyzing budgets, performing analysis on profitability, and general accounting functions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- In depth financial analysis on expense trending, labor allocations, material variances and Overhead load allocations.
- Supports Engineering team with knowledge, analysis, and detailed project reporting to ensure timely decisioning can occur.
- Complete special projects and tasks assigned by manager.
- Researches, analyzes, and prepares journals for financial transactions.
- Supports tax activities as required.
- Assists with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and schedules.
- Verifies and reviews accounting transactions. Makes appropriate corrections, entries, and adjustments to ensure accuracy of reports.
- Reviews and reconciles assigned accounts & projects.
- Assists in development and modification of internal accounting control policies, procedures, and practices.
Level Requirements (Minimum):
Education
- Additional continuing education credits/hours preferred.
- Four (4) year degree in Accounting or Business.
Experience
- Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
- 4+ years of accounting experience and financial analysis,

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- No travel required.
