PSE's Office of Controller team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Accountant II position!
Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Under general supervision, perform moderately complex accounting and analysis functions. Participate in daily and monthly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Ensure SOX procedures and controls are being complied with and working according to documentation. Ensure customer satisfaction and continual improvement of processes.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares moderately complex journal entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Performs moderately complex accounting, analysis and/or billing functions.
  • Participates on special projects/research within the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Evaluates and implements changes related to regulatory and GAAP compliance.
  • Company & Industry Acumen - Leverages company knowledge to construct comprehensive analysis; understands where to get the data and who to circulate the findings to; leverages knowledge in a variety of assignments.
  • Responds to requests received from management and other departments.
  • Leadership - Leads by example and may provide guidance within scope of responsibilities.
  • Collaboration - Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Independently drives tasks to completion.
  • Strategic – Applies strategic thinking and makes recommendations to management for operational improvements.
  • Complies with internal controls and actively update and test SOX 404 procedures.
  • Influence – Uses analysis to provide departmental feedback that supports and drives business decisions.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement - Takes ownership of responsibilities while identifying and recommending improvements to processes, procedures and systems; that appropriately considers stakeholder feedback. Manages time to create capacity to focus on value added work. Ensures individual knowledge and skills are up to date with current industry standards.
  • Prepares internal, external, and regulatory financial reports.
  • May act as a subject matter expert.
  • Participates in the maintenance of the general ledger and/or other automated systems and databases.
  • Customer Focus - Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services, acting with the end customer in mind.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Good ability to effectively analyze and report on financial information
  • Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access)
  • 2+ years of directly relevant accounting experience
  • Good understanding of GAPP and technical application

The pay range for this position is $67,200.00 - $104,400.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
