BCS has an immediate opening for a junior to mid-level Program Analyst to join our growing team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). The Program Analyst will provide Project Management Support for the DOE’s Industrial Assessment Center Program (IAC). Through the IAC, teams from Universities around the U.S. provide small- to medium-sized manufacturers with assessments to identify energy saving opportunities. The IAC program has the added benefit of training our future workforce in energy analysis and management, amongst additional Program benefits. The Program Analyst will support federal staff with project performance and financial monitoring of the DOE-funded IACs. Responsibilities include, conducting outreach to the IACs, reviewing project performance and financial reports, collection of program metrics, develop project briefings, provide meeting support, and other activities. The Program Analyst will assist with program and project oversight and provide administrative support. The position will also support the process for executing Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), selection efforts, and award processes specific to IACs. The Program Analyst will prepare documentation required for Funding Opportunity Announcements for financial assistance awards (grants and cooperative agreements). The Program Analyst will support administration of agreements during the pre-award, active, closeout and auditing stages and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Work closely with federal Program Managers and Project Directors throughout the award process.
Job Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must
- Ability to travel to Washington, DC if needed
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work closely with clients to develop briefings and reports
- Exceptional coordination and organization skills
- Ability to respond to quick turn around requests
- Previous federal program management support experience and/or experience providing program management support to the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is a plus
