Job Description

Title: Production Planner/Scheduler

Location: Remote

Duration: 06+ months (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00/hr on W2

Develop Premavera P6 schedules which enable the organization to keep a portfolio of 70+ minor projects on track while assuring resource allocation is optimized. They will draft weekly schedules for resident and outside construction staff based on longer term schedules which incorporate project due dates and labor requirements. They will also assist with scheduling for major plant Turn around activities.


The Project Scheduler will be responsible for creating primavera P6 schedules which enable the organization to keep a portfolio of 70+ simultaneous minor projects on track in terms of delivery and cost while assuring resource allocation is optimized. They will work with the Project managers, Construction managers and Contract Design and Construction resources to set project goals and deadlines, estimate short and long term labor needs, draft weekly work schedules for resident and outside construction staff, and communicate timelines to all departments. For each project, they will monitor the arrival of shipments, track deliveries, and ensure the team is moving efficiently. They will offer suggestions and solutions for any issues that may arise to get projects back on track. Other job duties include analyzing the project timeline for efficiency and creating weekly status reports for management And assisting with scheduling of major plant turn arounds.


Duties and Responsibilities

Draft a timeline for each project in the project portfolio based on the plan provided by the project planners

Maintain a consolidated schedule of the project portfolio and detailed work schedules for each craft including prioritized projects and allocations for work to be performed for others on the plant site.

Follow up on progress to assure scheduled work is on track.

Revise schedule when necessary


Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate; bachelor's degree preferred

3+ years of construction experience

Strong time management and organizational skills

Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other SAP and project planning software
