JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery is located in the Paso Robles region of California's Central Coast. We operate with a desire to make world class wines that reflect the unique soils and climate of the area. The JUSTIN Production team is seeking a knowledgeable Production Coordinator who understands all aspects of the winemaking process. Under the direction of the Enologist, they will be responsible for writing and reviewing all work orders, coordinating the topping and daily schedule with acute attention to detail, and sharing quality control concerns from lab analysis. This individual will play an integral role within a small team, responsible for workflow communication between the winemaking team, detailed work packages to the cellar, and coordination between all departments to ensure all cellar processing requirements and general protocols are scheduled and documented. The Production Coordinator works well in a fast-paced collaborative team environment and is able to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.


This position will be based in Paso Robles at our Wisteria Lane location. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with the exception of harvest season (August to November) when overtime and weekend work may be required.



  • Write work orders in the winemaking ERP software for cellar operations under direction of the winemaking team and daily production schedule
  • Provide daily updates to the weekly plan and works cooperatively with winemaking team to meet Production Department's goals
  • Develop and analyze KPI’s related to cellar operations to identify progress, fluctuations, and issues from KPI results
  • Review and process completed work orders to ensure that they balance, and all necessary information is recorded, along with lot #s for chemicals used in the winemaking ERP system
  • Participates in team efforts and perform additional administrative duties as needed
  • Communicate conflicts and changes based upon production plan and addresses to the winemaking team any changes or corrections to work orders or schedule
  • Maintain monthly inventory in ERP software of chemicals and cellar supplies


Qualifications


  • Experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Office Suite, Word, Teams), Excel and winery management software
  • Proven attention to detail and excellent organizational and documentation skill
  • Ability to embrace transparency, collaboration, and change
  • Verbal and written communication in English, Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus
  • Ability to compose concise and effective communication
  • Must be able to perform basic calculations and assemble data in spreadsheets and charts/graphs
  • B.S. in Enology/Viticulture or related field preferred, or equivalent related work experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in winery operations


Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
