Job Description
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base in the DoD. Responsibilities You will examine aircraft components, engine parts and accessories in the control center. You will ensure that necessary material, equipment, blueprints and specifications are available. You will investigate reasons for delay and determine and identify the reason for the work stoppages. You will monitor and expedite flow of material through feeder shops to transact the status of components. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Familiarity with automated, storage, kitting, and retrieval systems (ASKARS) in order to manage parts/material; 2) Knowledge of production organization and established production methods and procedures, labor and material requirements to carry out established production control assignments; and 3) Receiving and examining aircraft components, engine parts, and accessories in the control center/ASKARS. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: Production Control Series 1152 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education The following education may be substituted for specialized experience: 4 years above high school. Successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite is creditable. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Education Substitution: If you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you must submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume.
