Datavant is seeking a talented and experienced Product Marketer to join our growing team. The Product Marketer will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Datavant's identified data connectivity offerings. This is a high-impact role that works closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Solutions, Sales, and Customer Success, to create compelling messaging, positioning, and content that resonates with our target audience. The Product Marketer will also work with the Head of Brand and Customer Insights to drive clarity on the naming and positioning strategies for our overall product portfolio across identified and de-identified data connectivity offerings.
Overall, you will own an ambitious charter to communicate the value of Datavant’s products for proven and emerging use cases across providers, payers, and life sciences organizations. If you want to have a front-row seat to the evolution of how healthcare data is being used in novel ways, and be in the driver’s seat for communicating that value across customer segments, then this role is for you!
You Will:
  • Measure and learn by working with Digital Marketing to track campaign and content effectiveness and the Product Team for product usage analytics
  • Drive demand for post-launch offerings
  • Work with the Product Team to conduct market and customer research and define the market positioning, messaging, pricing, naming, and other activities in support of go-to-market launches
  • Plan and execute launches of new identified data products and solutions that are coming to market
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing to iterate on campaigns to drive product and solution adoption
  • Gather Voice of Customer and Voice of Sales insights to optimize messaging and positioning
  • Work with the Head of Brand and Customer Insights to define the optimal positioning of Switchboard in the market - as a product and a part of the overall Datavant value proposition
  • Partner with the Product and Solutions teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of Datavant Switchboard
  • Craft compelling marketing materials to support launch campaigns and on-going adoption, including product overviews, video demos, webinars, landing pages, emails, case studies, and other product content
  • Work with customer-facing teams to understand how Datavant Switchboard enables specific identified data use cases for our customer segments across payer, provider, life sciences, healthcare data and analytic companies, and public sector
  • Work with Product, Solutions and Product Success to create sales enablement materials and train sales on new offerings
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing and Digital Marketing to develop and execute launch campaigns to drive demand and adoption
  • Communicate the value of Datavant Switchboard, a data connectivity platform to customers, partners, and employees (especially GTM teams)
  • Develop product marketing materials communicating the value of Switchboard to the market, including supporting teams developing offerings that include Switchboard
What You Will Bring to the Table:
  • Commercial orientation, market savvy and past experience in a B2B environment
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and launching new category-creating products and/or use cases
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in the health industry
  • Experience working with Sales and Customer Success to drive product adoption
  • Experience working with Product and/or Solutions teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products or use cases
  • Keen intuition for understanding where products and use cases are in their maturity stage and refining the positioning, messaging, and content appropriately
  • A creative storyteller: able to develop and craft compelling messaging and content to communicate value to target customers
  • Capacity to quickly learn and adapt and multi-task across competing priorities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Our compensation philosophy is to be externally competitive, internally fair, and not win or lose on compensation. Salary ranges are developed with the support of benchmarks (competitive San Francisco rates for US-based roles) and industry best practices.

This means we default to simple job titles (e.g., Software Engineer) rather than complex ones (e.g., Senior Software Engineer). The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is $124,000 to $185,000.
