Product Engineer/Design And Release Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Product Engineer/ Design & Release Engineer for a Contract position with a client located in Dearborn, MI/Louisville, KY Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Body, Body Design and release, Plant/Production Launch in Automotive domain.

Product Engineer/ Design & Release Engineer (W2 Role)

Location: Michigan/Kentucky

Pay Range: $40 - $43/hour W2

PMT interior engineer who has plant and launch experience that is has great communication / leadership skills to support cross functional team. Must have great collaboration skills and willingness to support on-site at Kentucky Truck.

Well versed in WERS / AIMs / CR's / Alert / etc...

• Represent and support VHM for all program interfaces

• Support functional sign-off and compatibility reviews to deliver all Program Milestones on-time with completed metrics.

• Drive functional delivery to meet quality, cost, investment, weight, and timing targets.

• Champion trade-off decisions to balance within the VHM Function

• Drive cross-functional issue resolution (including program, quality, attribute, manufacturing, STA, studio, color & materials sign off, suppliers etc.). Support escalation when needed.

• Support resolution of PD build issues via AIMS, CRs, FCPA, Alerts, & other launch performance metrics for on time delivery of launch

• Active, on-site, Body Interior SPOC for program, attributes, VO, and NML teams through launch phases from LR through OKTB

Experience Required:

• Bachelors in Engineering or MBA preferred.

• 5+ years experience in Body,

• 3+ years experience Body Design & Release

• Demonstrated Production Launch experience

• Demonstrated experience with program management

• Strong fundamentals and working knowledge of the Cost Process and Functional Led

• Effective coaching skills

• Strong fundamentals and working knowledge of GPDS processes

• Strong understanding of Teamcenter, Bill of Materials management

Skills Preferred:

WERS AIMs CR's / Change Control Alerts

Experience Preferred:

• Plant Launch Experience
