Job Summary: Design Release Engineer to Work on Powertrain components like Power transfer unit, driveshaft, and halfshaft.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with engineers located at technical centres and suppliers' engineering teams.
- Prepare and update Change Management documentation.
- Document the assembly build operations.
- Support system-level DVPs and complete DRBTR documentation.
- Monitor Powertrain components like the Power transfer unit, driveshaft, and Halfshaft in the NX CAD tool.
- Working with powertrain suppliers to develop PPAP.
- Complete TKO documentation.
- Should adapt to changing business scenarios and should be able to visit supplier test facilities as per necessity.
- DFMEAs and evaluates designs for failure modes robustness.
- Travel to supplier manufacturing sites.
- Make measurements and prepare query reports using GD&T tools.
- Create/manage/finalize mule build assembly process sheets based on input from DREs.
- Work with nominated supplier teams to get engineering details to make reports and documentation.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Must know Vehicle subsystems like Transmissions and Drivelines.
- Own responsibilities.
- Tools: NX,3DCS, Word, Excel, MS Office tools.
- Agile to learn new & advanced skills.
Qualification:
- Bachelor in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
