Job Description


The Ford Global Electrified Powertrain Team is a growing team committed to envisioning and creating simple, thoughtful, enjoyable, and compelling product experiences for our customers. As a team player, you will work on the cutting-edge technologies of EV and create impact by collaborating across the EV organization.


Responsibilities


  • Update BOM in AVBOM/FEDEBOM and release parts in WERS
  • Support alignment of power pack and platform package
  • Lead Component Design Verification Plan (DVP) development and ensure complete DVP&R is documented
  • Support eDrive component level competitive benchmarking and reports
  • Lead the development of the Quality documents including Boundary Diagram, P-Diagram, DFMEA, PFMEA
  • Integrate lessons learned from previous programs & ensure robust prevent recurrence actions are in place
  • Understand the GPDS (Global Product Development Process) and meet all component deliverables at appropriate milestones
  • Identify all Significant and Critical Characteristics (SC/CC) and ensure a manufacturing control plan is in place
  • Support all prototype and production builds
  • Develop component level requirements based on eDrive system and create the component specification to meet all requirements
  • Meet all component Quality, Cost, Weight, and Function (QCWF) targets
  • Develop ESOW (Engineering Statement of Work) and manage the supplier interface for the component


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • 2+ years in Design & Release preferably in Powertrain/Electrical


Preferred Requirements


  • Knowledge of Ford processes and Tools
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • MSEE or MSME graduate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of powertrain testing tools, analytical and CAE tools and performance modeling
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams and driving product development issues to resolution
