Success Profile:
The Product Development Associate is the PLM Teck Pack expert on the Karl Lagerfeld Paris Product Development team. Initiates and manages tech packs for all Karl Lagerfeld Paris Sportswear, Suits and Dress product categories in all fabrications: wovens, cut & sew knits, knitwear. Hardworking, hands-on, with the technical know-how to navigate through Gerber yuniquePLM and manage data including style information, measurements, fit evaluations, construction, and more. Communicates daily – and proactively – to maintain factory communications, answering questions, managing timeline and tech pack priorities.

Brand/Product Focus: KARL LAGERFELD PARIS | Women’s Sportswear – Wovens, Cut & Sew Knits, Outerwear, Dresses
Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District
Key Accountabilities:
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Maintains communication and check- ins with factories and teams to ensure product life cycle efficiency
- Daily communications with overseas factories
- Owns the Gerber yuniquePLM data entry process from Tech Pack initiation to style building and edits for all categories: sportswear, outerwear, dresses.
Gerber Yunique PLM:
- Serves as the Gerber yuniquePLM link between the Design and Production teams for all issues related to Gerber yuniquePLM
- Inputs changes, as appropriate, to ensure style/SKU accuracy and follows up with teams/factories with confirmation
- Updates Gerber yuniquePLM with any changes after fitting to ensure accuracy
Trim Development:
- Partners with Design team for trim development and trim approvals
Education and Experience:
- College degree in Technical Design, Product Management, Textile Technology or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
- Two (2) years of professional, hands-on experience initiating tech packs using PLM for all categories of apparel product management, required
- PLM system technical skill proficiency, required
Skills and Behaviors:
- Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail
- Motivated to work in a high energy environment at the speed of fashion with ever-changing priorities
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment operating at the speed of fashion
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments as well as vendors and other overseas office
- Ability to work independently and work to meet multiple deadlines, proactive and responsive to unexpected problems
- Working knowledge and understanding of fashion, design, development process, required
- Technical skill proficiency using MS Office: Excel, Word PowerPoint
- Organized with keen attention to detail and follow through
- Technical skill proficiency using CAD and Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, an asset
- Confident, engaging interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The pay range for this position is: $31.25 per hour/$65k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)- $36.06 per hour/$75k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week).
