The Product Development Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Research and Development Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of various research and development projects within the cosmetic industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cosmetic formulation, an inquisitive nature, and a passion for exploring novel ingredients and technologies to develop innovative beauty solutions.

Description
- Product Testing and Validation: Oversee product testing, including stability, efficacy, and safety evaluations. Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements or adjustments as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with cosmetic industry regulations and ensure all products developed comply with local and international regulations, including safety assessments, labeling requirements, and documentation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective cross-functional collaboration with teams such as marketing, production, and quality control to ensure a smooth transition from R&D to product launch. Communicate research findings and development progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Project Management: Assist the R&D Manager in project planning, timelines, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and ensure projects are completed within defined timelines while meeting quality standards.
- Ingredient Sourcing and Evaluation: Research and evaluate raw materials and active ingredients to identify innovative and sustainable options. Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to source high-quality ingredients that align with product requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Formulation Development: Collaborate with the R&D team to design and develop new cosmetic formulations, ensuring they align with the company's objectives and market trends. Conduct comprehensive research on ingredients, textures, and delivery systems to create products that meet customer needs and preferences.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain strict quality control measures throughout the development process to ensure products meet the company's high-quality standards and exceed customer expectations.
- Technology and Trend Monitoring: Keep abreast of the latest cosmetic industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences. Leverage this knowledge to drive innovative product development and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Profile
- 3+ years of R&D/PD Experience within the Cosmetic, Personal Care/Skin Care or Fragrance Industry
- Proven track record of project management success.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Must be able to successfully communicate with clients.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.
This role is fully on-site, M-Th.
