Job Title: Product Designer
Location: Remote (must be US-based)
Target Compensation: $90,000-$140,000, with the addition of equity
Company Overview:
The US healthcare system is a billion dollar industry and is modeled around providing care at a hefty expense. And yet, most healthcare experiences are awful and loyalty hardly exists in this industry.
Our mission is simple: build loyalty. Amenities Health helps large US health systems to (1) acquire new patients, (2) modernize their tools and (3) win patient loyalty. We build white labeled products & membership services designed to lock-in loyalty (think Amazon Prime or Costco memberships).
At Amenities, you’ll be surrounded by experienced industry leaders and driven technology experts paving the paradigm shift in healthcare, including:
- Product team responsible for the industry-leading patient portal (3M accounts, 80% patient adoption, and 700k monthly users).
- Engineering team includes former founders, ex-Cerner, ex-Epic, and more.
- CEO is ex-McKinsey, MD, 2nd time founder, & former digital health executive.
Our company values are:
- We do our best work when healthy, rested, and connected
- Delighting members is really smart business
- Hire clever, motivated people, and trust them to figure it out
- Go big, little fixes won’t cut it
As we experience tremendous market demand for our product and on the heels of a successful Series A funding round, we're actively growing the team across sales, marketing, product, engineering, design, and customer success functions.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Product Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and implementing beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces and experiences for our Digital Front Door and Membership products. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and client success teams to develop designs that deliver a best-in-class patient experience.
As a Product Designer at Amenities, you’ll be responsible for creating beautiful and efficient solutions to meet the needs of patients. We believe in humanizing the experience between health systems and patients. Your work should help break down barriers and confusion that exists in the health space. You will need to be the voice for patients and provide the tools and experiences they need to navigate the healthcare wilderness.
Responsibilities:
- Be the voice and fight for patients. Empathize with them and truly understand their needs. Healthcare historically has not been an easy experience for patients to navigate and understand. Your job is to think critically about these poor experiences and transform them into something delightful and humanizing that brings value and trust.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and integrate those into design processes and workflows.
- Be practical and understand how to balance user needs and design perfection with business and technology needs to get to market.
- Have ownership of your product and areas of expertise. We want passionate people who care and go the extra mile to ensure the best version of their craft is out there.
- Be able to work across the entire design stack. Including speccing and discovery work for the projects with your team (understanding business, engineering and patient goals); determining and applying various methodologies for research; concepting solutions to validate and test; designing rich interactions and visuals to bring delight; and working hand in hand with developers for best implementations.
- Seek to push and pull. Push back when you need to but also pull those around you to help create your vision.
Requirements:
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a product development environment.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Experience with user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX design work.
Nice to Haves:
- Be familiar with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Having a background or experience in healthcare is nice but not necessary. Product Designers are problem solvers and should be able to drop into any industry and empathize with the users and understand the business and tech constraints.
Benefits:
We’re a young company (10-20 employees), but we believe firmly that happy, healthy employees will do their best work.
