Product Design Engineer Jobs

Responsibilities

To co-collaborate with the Product Development Team as the engineering SME to ideate, analyze, test, evaluate, plan, configure, optimize and refine solutions to advance the product, within a lean framework “scrum”; and lead the engineering efforts required including concept design feasibility, design engineering, mock-up construction, testing including in house (mock ups) and third-party agency, create research reports, and obtain necessary approvals and certifications for alternative means and methods and/or code adoption in support of product advancement. Create, mentor and maintain an environment of curiosity, entrepreneurialism, teamwork, collaboration, creativity, rigor, and humility.

Qualifications

1.Undergraduate (required) and Masters (preferred) Degree in either mechanical or structural engineering (later preferred);

2.Min. 5 years of work experience (professional practice) in building design, engineering and/or construction: backgrounds linked to industrialized construction in the real estate space will be given priority;

2.Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

3.Proven ability to lead a diverse team through design ideation, concept and design development, engineering feasibility and preparation of final solution;

4.Proven history of engineering research, testing and preparation of technical reports leading to jurisdictional and/or institutional approvals; and

5.Licensed professional engineer (PE), min.
