About the role
Drives continuous improvement, cost efficiency, troubleshooting existing products and processes, optimization of existing processes. Ensures the smooth scale up of products (NPI) from the pilot plant to the production plant. Consults on special projects from customers to understand performance requirements, quality aspects, and reproducibility of Kerry’s Cell Nutrition solutions, supporting TSS investigations as needed. Ensures formulas/recipes are accurate and up to date in HMI control systems (iFIX). Technical lead on cross-functional teams in Norwich operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BS) in a related science, such as Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry. Familiar and comfortable with statistics and process control systems.
- A 3-5 years experience in the food or pharmaceutical ingredients industry, with strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) is a plus.
- Experience with food processing equipment and processes (evaporation, spray drying, freeze drying, dairy/meat equipment, centrifugation, filtration, sterilization, pasteurization).
