A leading private equity firm that invests in middle-market companies across a range of industries is seeking a motivated Private Equity Associate to join their team. The firm is seeking a highly motivated individual to join as a Private Equity Associate in or looking to relocate to the Chicago area. The desired Private Equity Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals to evaluate potential investments, conduct due diligence, and support portfolio company management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced investment professionals and gain valuable experience in all aspects of the investment process.
Private Equity Responsibilities:
- Develop financial models to support investment decisions and analyze investment returns
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities
- Participate in due diligence efforts to assess potential risks and opportunities associated with investments
- Support senior investment professionals in deal negotiations, structuring, and execution
- Communicate effectively with team members, investors, and portfolio company management
- Work closely with portfolio companies to support their growth and operational improvement initiatives
- Analyze financial statements and other data to evaluate the financial health and growth potential of target companies
Private Equity Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or related field
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
