Print Designer Jobs

My client is looking for a new print designer to join their small and friendly team, you will have experience of designing trend led prints for the high street, ideally coming from another print studio or a retailer background. My client wants to see a great use of colour and a portfolio that demonstrates an eye for trend, with designs that are inspired by interesting and considered mood boards.
Suitable applicants will have a minimum of 5 years industry experience, since graduating, a talent for creating beautiful prints by hand, with the ability to improve and manipulate digitally. If you have a natural hand for beautiful florals and paisley’s, then I’d love to hear from you.
Print Designer – The Role

• Develop a professional relationship with buyers and the design team
• Work closely with the Creative Director and take direction
• Re-colouring existing artwork and designs, putting ideas into repeat etc
• Responsible for proactively sourcing and creating new print ideas, identifying trends and predictions each season
• Responsible for designing all over prints across multi-product collections for fashion market

Print Designer – The Candidate

• In-depth knowledge of this market and relevant product areas is essential
• A true passion about Fashion and prints and trend-aware
• Educated to Degree standard in Print Design (for Fashion Textiles)
• Self-sufficient to an extent, should be fully versed in seasonal drops/ trends and be able to hit the ground running
• Enthusiastic, outgoing and energetic
• The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Ability to develop initial concepts into finished print designs
• Excellent research skills
• Experience, ideally in commercial print design environment, used to working quickly, in a target-driven and fast-paced environment
• Outstanding presentation skills
