About The Role

The President, Americas is a key leadership role within the company, responsible for overseeing and driving the company's operations, growth, and customer success in the Americas region.

This position requires a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. The positionwill collaborate with various teams, including sales, marketing, product, and customer service, to ensure the successful execution of the company's objectives and expansion plans in the Americas.

This position is the first hire in the America’s as the business transitions from start-up to scale-up – it will require a hands-on and hands-in approach, with a clear strategic focus and prioritisation on achieving commercial targets to then build the team out for the region’s continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the regional budget, including revenue projections, expenses, and resource allocation, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Global Strategy: Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Operations on strategically accelerating the business from start-up to scale up.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, technology (physical and digital), product management, and customer support, to ensure effective coordination and execution of initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies within the region.
  • Regional Strategy: Develop and execute the strategic plan for the Americas region, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends, providing insights for product development and marketing strategies.
  • Industry Relations: Actively participate in key industry groups to ensure FibreTrace® is positioned and responding relevantly to industry change, considered throughout working groups, and appropriate represented in the core areas of traceability, transparency, climate impact and sustainable textile solutions.
  • Sales Management: Drive sales in the Americas, setting targets, and ensuring achievement of sales goals.
  • Team Leadership: When commercial targets are reached - recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive individual and team success.
  • Customer Success: Foster strong relationships with key customers and drive customer satisfaction and retention initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Significant experience (8+ years) in a leadership role within the textile and or technology industry, with a focus on business development, sales, or operations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth.
  • A high level of organisation and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively will be key to success in the role.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the Americas region regularly, and internationally as required.
