Minimum qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- OR a CDPHE recognized food safety certification can substitute for experience.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
- One (1) year of food services experience including, but not limited to: hosting, serving, delivering, cashiering, prepping, cooking, etc.
Job description:
The position (Prep Cook/Dining Services III) performs fully operational food production work in the Division of Youth Services Food Services Department located at the Mount View Youth Services Center.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Enters data onto production worksheets.
- Properly prepares food that is attractive, appetizing, and of proper temperatures.
- Follows proper sanitation procedures for the handling of food and the cleaning of the food service area.
- Inspects food and food service supplies for accurate quantity and condition upon arrival to the facility and rejects food and supplies that are inadequate.
- Inventories knives and/or culinary utensils according to facility procedures to prevent loss.
- Follows DYS menus and recipes in order to comply with National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program and DYS policies and procedures.
