Premium Services - Guest Experience Manager - Events

Premium Services provides a myriad of curated access opportunities & experiences for our high-affinity Disney Guests. As the Premium Services Guest Experience Manager - Events, you will design and deliver elevated resident experiences and events that enhance the Golden Oak living environment. To deliver on the brand promise of our resident experiences, You will uphold the Disney Legacy and history of Walt Disney World while strategically planning detail-oriented and compelling private and club-hosted experiences. You will work with numerous teams across Walt Disney World including Food & Beverage Operations, the Disney Event Group, Park Operations, Resort Operations, Merchandise, Consumer Products and the Premium Services leadership team, and must be able to influence various stakeholders. This role leads and develops an Events Coordinator, who helps to coordinate and deliver extraordinary moments.

You will report to the Proprietor of Golden Oak.

You Will:

• Develop and track event budgets displaying strong financial decision making
• Support of food and beverage front-of-house operations
• Manage contracts, food and beverage, audio visual, entertainment, transportation, and all logistics for event delivery
• Coaches and provide developmental opportunities for Golden Oak Event Coordinator
• Develop an event slate that supports the event strategy for Golden Oak and collaboratively integrates within the broader Premium Services event portfolio
• Provide a creative approach to problem-solving across multiple teams in order to achieve desired outcomes
• Ensures appropriate communications and registration logistics are in place to communicate events and establish registration guidelines
• Creates ways to surprise and delight our residents, strengthening residency value
• Present event plans to senior Premium Services and executive leadership
• Professional handling of confidential information
• Partners with numerous teams to create private and club-hosted events

You Have:

• 2+ years of event planning experience
• Talent for developing partnerships and work streams with all team members across the organization
• Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays
• Proficiency in general technology platforms necessary to plan & operate events
• Knowledge of Walt Disney World procedures
• Ability to maintain and contribute to a positive work environment, which includes a diversity of Cast and Resident perspectives
• Strong knowledge of the Walt Disney World both historic and current state
• 2+ years of mentoring direct reports
• 2+ years of leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience conducting planning sessions and leading time lines
• F&B experience, front-of-house/service
• 5+ years of event planning experience
• Experience in communication, marketing, or event sales
• Experience in a luxury resort or with private membership club operations
• Catering operations experience

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
