Duties and Responsibilities: • Supervise PN Program Coordinators and instructors at all LDCC campus locations
  • Responsible for maintaining and submitting appropriate Louisiana State Practical Nursing Board reports in conjunction with PN Program Coordinators and faculty
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, and LDCC leadership.
  • Collaborate with Campus Directors in assessing instructor effectiveness
  • Assist with teaching assignments (clinical and didactics) as needed
  • Engage with local nursing community to determine specific needs to ensure all programs remain relevant to current demand and standards
  • Continually assess, revise, create, and implement Practical Nursing programs in concert with Dean of Nursing and Allied Health and the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
  • Make recommendations for personnel actions, course offerings, course scheduling, and program development
  • Serve on various committees as assigned and needed

Required Education: The qualified candidate must be a State Licensed Registered Nurse with minimum of an associate degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (bachelor’s degree preferred), ten years nursing experience, and possess extensive knowledge of Louisiana State Practical Nursing Board standards and requirements. Must have at least three years of nursing experience in a hospital setting and three years of practical nursing teaching experience within a higher education environment. CPR certification required. Excellent computer skills including excel spreadsheet and grant writing experience.

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
