About the Role:

We’re in search of a full-time Account Executive or PR Coordinator (to be determined by experience) to support our high-profile brand portfolio. Our ideal candidate is a pop culture enthusiast who has PR or Marketing experience through education, previous internships, and/or relevant work experience. Hard work, drive, organization, "heart," an ease for taking direction and working collaboratively with others are essential qualities. Because we are a start-up, the hands-on experience will be rich with opportunity.


Responsibilities

  • Manage seasonal interns
  • Under the direction of a supervisor, conduct thorough research, including press coverage audits, competitive brand analysis and trending insights
  • Track and monitor press clippings and provide efficient client press coverage reports
  • Assist with client product mailings
  • Build, update and maintain media lists
  • Identify media clips from clipping services and online resources
  • Under the direction of a supervisor, support in drafting pitches, press releases and new business presentations
  • Staff and attend client events
  • Draft social media content
  • Assist with building new business presentations
  • Provide administrative support to agency Founder including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and compiling expense reports
  • Build influencer and press relationships
  • Participation in team brainstorms
  • Under the direction of a supervisor, distribute press materials to media outlets


Required Skills/Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc)
  • Ability to quickly grasp business needs and priorities, trending topics, and connect the dots in order to build timely media opportunities and strategies for clients
  • Proactive, positive, polite, resourceful, and able to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • The candidate must have a passion for and baseline understanding of public relations
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills for media-facing materials and content for clients
  • Outstanding judgment when working with media, team members, client contacts, and vendors
  • PR internship or 1 year of agency experience for Coordinator / 1-2 years work experience for Account Executive
  • Comfort in supporting on deck/presentation building needs in Google Slides or Canva
