023927 Plant Manager - Adhesives (Open):
Note: The ideal candidate must be willing to work onsite, Monday-Friday, at our brand new facility in Cincinnati.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively implements new performance management systems, production plans, and performance criteria; confirms production progress; responds to delays; takes corrective actions; records KPI performance.
- Encourages joint problem solving and individual development.
- Maintain close connection and contact with other departments.
- Ensures team understands roles and responsibilities relating to the team and Greif.
- Responsible for purchasing raw materials for plant
- Continuously improves the plant's performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.
- Manages and maintains safety observances, ensuring guards and safety features work and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports Greif's mission, follows the values of Greif, and works to better Greif’s business as a whole.
- Forecasts future production and facility needs and participates in establishing strategic business and project goals.
- Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, and staff, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, ensures positive colleague relations, and reviews colleagues' performance.
- Creates and implements improvement plans for the overall operation.
- Contributes to annual budget preparation. Controls expenditures in accordance with the budget.
Education and Experience
- Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 10 or more years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Organization skills.
- Knowledge of the plant's operation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong ability in problem-solving and multi-tasking.
- Computer skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills.
