Job Description

Planner, the Americas


  • Please note that this is a HYBRID role. We require all corporate employees to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week.


Overview: Oversee permanent product collection sales and stock management across all categories (women’s, men’s and LGs) for Retail America’s. Partner with the Merchandising and Planning teams to provide comprehensive analysis and develop strategies to meet budget targets. This position will report to the Senior Planning Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Generate, prepare, and present OTS for America’s considering sales history, trend, new store openings as well as store expansions.
  • Provide sales, inventory analysis, and explanations on under or overachieving targets.
  • Create store assortments and model stocks by season and store cluster.
  • Supervise Assistant Planner, specializing in Canada and Mexico OTS and weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Work closely with retail store managers on any in-season matrix and model stocks changes, relaying changes to Allocation Planner.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Headquarters teams to develop strong permanent assortments.
  • Generate and present OTS presentation.
  • Assist in supply chain agility initiatives based on direction from manager.
  • Plan bottoms-up sales and inventory forecast by style.
  • Assist manager in creation of receipt reconciliation and stock management tool.
  • Conduct America’s permanent product in-season needs for all categories; stock reorders and cancellations, global sur stock opportunities, replenishment or transfer needs to optimize sales and stock.
  • Recommend actions that drive sales and stabilize inventory levels.
  • Manage all permanent product categories for the America’s (United States, Canada and Mexico).
  • Coordinate with Planning Allocator on weekly replenishment opportunities and store to store clean-ups.
  • Manage receipts and inventory against targeted months of supply objectives.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proactively contributes to creating a team atmosphere that is professional, flexible and enjoyable
  • Adheres to company policy and confidentiality
  • Strong follow up, follow through and attention to detail to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ideal candidate has work experience in medium sized multinational company or luxury business
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems/programs
  • Transparent and effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Additional language fluency is a plus
  • Advanced Excel knowledge essential as well as strong of financial acumen required
  • Driven to learn and grow
  • Passion for Christian Louboutin and a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of responsibility
  • Grasps new concepts quickly, prioritizes efficiently and is organized
  • Preferred Anaplan and Cegid experience
  • Proficient in all of Microsoft Office/Suite
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning or similar role
  • Versatile; embraces change and is consistently able to develop and adapt to the needs of the business.
