We are seeking an experienced, highly self-motivated Pipeline Technician for our Chandler, AZ facility.

Reimagine What’s Possible

Under the guidance of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the Pipeline Technician’s primary responsibility will be focused on Air Products Nitrogen pipeline, with secondary responsibilities in plant maintenance. The technician is required to follow and adhere to the established Quality Standards and Procedures designed to supply quality materials to our customers. Candidates will be required to meet training requirements and successfully pass scheduled validation reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in positive locating of underground utilities using locating equipment common to excavation industry is a plus
• Participation in pipeline/plant initiatives
• Maintain on-site Preventative Maintenance programs, including daily and weekly maintenance tasks throughout the facility: troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determine solutions, implement repair either in house or set up third party vendor to complete
• An understanding of Cathodic Protection for underground pipeline and maintenance activities is preferred but not a requirement
• Review and respond to design requests and submittals
• Must be willing to carry company provided cell phone and respond to pipeline/plant call-outs during off-hours (nights and weekends) including supporting operation plant startups and vacation coverage
• Meet with contractors, designers, city representatives to protect the pipeline from damage/rupture
• Regular patrols of pipeline to insure normal operation

Physical Requirements - must be able to:

• Perform elevated work as required.
• Be available during mandatory call-in requirements as scheduled
• Work in all weather conditions, including walking an average of 3 miles a day in rough terrain and extreme conditions.
• Climb ladders and steps and lift 50 lbs.

Experience / education desired:

• Previous work history and/or military experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency and software knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Pipeline and mechanical maintenance experience
• Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with personal computers and/or DCS systems.
