The ideal candidate is a highly skilled Controller with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Accounting, CPA certification, and industry expertise in eCommerce, Warehouse, and Distribution sectors. They will collaborate closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while driving change initiatives, innovating the ERP system, and identifying business challenges for improvement.

Responsibilities

• The current team comprises five members, including an Accounting Manager, Accountant, AR Specialist, AP Specialist, and Payroll professional.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO on tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Seeking a proficient Controller with the ability to assume immediate responsibility for overseeing accounting operations within a $50mm eCommerce, Warehouse, and Distribution company. The company aims to double its revenue over the next 3 to 5 years.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of audit experience in Public Accounting is necessary, preferably with a well-known national or regional accounting firm, without a requirement for Big 4-specific experience.
• The ideal candidate should possess industry expertise in eCommerce, Warehouse, and Distribution sectors.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• While currently utilizing Essent as the ERP system, the company is in the process of implementing NetSuite as the new ERP. The preferred candidate will have a working knowledge of NetSuite.

+ Proficient in updating processes and procedures, the individual will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiencies within the accounting department and across the entire company as part of the transition to the new system.

• Operational experience of five years is required, including managerial-level experience with direct reports.

+ Take the lead in driving change initiatives.

+ Contribute to innovating the current ERP system.

+ Collaborate closely with the CFO on forecasting and budgeting plans.

+ Evaluate and enhance the Sales Tax process, utilizing Avalara software at present.

+ Identify business challenges and proactively propose ideas for improvement.
