Pharmacy Data Scientist Jobs

The Pharmacy Data scientist will play a critical role in Rite Aid's strategic transformation across a wide array of Strategic initiatives that support the Company's RxEvolution, with initial focus on pharmacy and Market access initiatives. The individual will work directly with the Vice President Pharmacy services on Rite Aid's most high-profile projects, including defining, scoping, strategy development and implementation. The role will serve as internal consultant, supporting key strategic initiatives and will be responsible for making detailed assessments and recommendations, with initial focus on Pharmacy adherence, market access, PBM initiatives, and clinical service opportunities to grow and transform our business. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

Build the statistical model to identify trends within the data and mange data to uncover solutions to business problems.

Work independently to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and be responsible for contributing to and collaborating to develop business solutions.

Define, lead and execute a broad array of initiatives with responsibility for creating a data-driven retail activation programs that support key business objectives, grow customer acquisitions, increase brand engagement and generate incremental retail sales.

Deep understanding of competitive retail environment, deriving insights, innovation, consumer trends, and identify white space opportunities for competitive advantage. Uncover innovation, research best practices and create horizon plans to accelerate omni-channel retail experience.

Use independent judgment to identify trends and make business recommendation based on findings

Utilize data visualization skills to create impactful presentations that clearly communicate insights for any level of the organization

Act as a strategic thought partner to the business teams; including Pharmacy operations, Clinical operations, Market Access, Medication adherence, and performance based programs. Leverage first-and third-party data to proactively uncover and amplify the most actionable insights

• Experience utilizing programming language such SQL, python, R and or SAS required.
• 3 years of experience in Data analytics, which includes creating algorithm and data models to forecast outcomes required.
• Background in retail customer value proposition and/or healthcare; Experience working with retail data, market condition analysis preferred.
• Ability to conduct high level presentation and communicate recommendation to stakeholders required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Data Science or other related required.
• 2 years of experience in Building statistical models and using machine learning techniques with large data set required.

“The typical starting pay range for this position is between ($66,500 - $100,000), although wages can vary based on experience and geography."
