Personal Injury Paralegal Opportunity
Salary
$30-60/hour, depending on hands-on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced personal injury paralegal to add to our solo law practice in California. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to our attorney in handling personal injury cases, while also performing some administrative tasks. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience working in litigation and be familiar with filing, serving, law and motion and trial practices and calendaring litigation deadlines. The office setting is a modern, co-working space with separate offices and lots of amenities.
Job Responsibilities: Provide support to attorneys in all aspects of personal injury cases, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents Maintain case files and ensure all documents are organized and up-to-date Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and prepare cases for trial Schedule appointments, depositions, and court appearances Coordinate with other attorneys and law firms on cases Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and ordering office supplies Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal Filing, serving, law and motion, subpoena and trial experience necessary Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software
