Job Description

Our client, a leader in financial services, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team remote on PST!


**This is a 17-month W2 contract with paid holidays, benefits and the opportunity for extension or conversion!**

In this role, you will be proactively collaborating with customers and key internal business partners within the Global Payroll Organization. This position will be reviewing employee payroll, keeping records of hours worked, calculating wages and preparing and processing employee payments.


Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining SOPs (standard operating procedures) and job aides for payroll processing and timekeeping tasks
  • Enforcing pay polices, (e.g., holiday worked, on-call, overtime, calculation basis for deductions, etc.) to ensure compliance
  • Reviewing wage calculations and audit reports for accuracy while making necessary adjustments/corrections
  • Tracking and processing leave of absence (LOA) to calculate supplemental pay for employees
  • Processing terminations including final pay calculations
  • Assisting with processing full payroll cycles for 15,000+ employees on a bi-weekly basis, inclusive of exempt and nonexempt employees
  • Resolving payroll employee service requests (tier 2 support for escalations)


Qualifications:

  • Understanding of payroll processes within a shared service environment
  • CPP/FPC certification is a plus
  • Experience with Workday and ADP systems is highly preferred
  • Bachelors preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in payroll related responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Excel, proficient in all other Office applications
