Job Description

As a Payroll Specialist at Rea & Associates, you will utilize your ability to multi-task between job responsibilities, as well as your superior attention to detail skills as you process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, set up new hires in our payroll system, and handle other responsibilities such as worker's compensation to ensure that deliverables are met. As a self-starter and someone with a can-do attitude, you will meet deadlines, and learn new systems to get the job done. This role will be based out of our New Philadelphia office location.
Responsibilities
  • Process W-2’s & 1095’s
  • New hire set up in payroll system
  • Process municipal taxes for multiple locations
  • Compiling & processing incentive program payments
  • Workers Compensation
  • Additional responsibilities may include supporting firm operational processes and tasks as needed
  • Manage set up between payroll software & practice management software
  • Processing Payroll on a bi-weekly basis
  • Managing out of state registration & accountancy board registrations
  • Reconcile quarterly/annually taxes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written
  • Experience with setting up & filing for out of state employees
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Analytical, Problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) helpful
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with setting up & filing for multiple municipalities
  • Time management skills including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once
