We are seeking a USA Payroll Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in our East Brunswick, NJ location. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex and specialized payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Process payroll for all US employees on a timely and accurate basis using ADP or equivalent payroll software.
- Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax reports..
- Participate in audits, as required.
- Review and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain and reconcile payroll records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work with HR to maintain employee data including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in employment status.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in US payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage garnishments and payroll deductions accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- Experience with ADP or similar payroll software
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have valid US work authorization.
- 5+ years of US multi-state payroll processing experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
- CPP certification is preferred, but not required.
