Job Description
Lynden Door Family of Companies is looking to add a Payroll & Benefits Associate. The Payroll & Benefits Associate will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payrolls for salaried, hourly, full time and part-time employees in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy of data and legal compliance. Compile data for and run internal management reports as directed. Provide benefit administration assistance for health insurance, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans.


HOURS: This is a full-time, hourly position (40 hours/week). Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Position Responsibilities


  • Process multiple bi-weekly payrolls (U.S. and/or Canada).
  • Monitor timecards for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide administrative support for benefits management.
  • Calculate and enter paid and unpaid time off request forms.
  • Create and enter payroll journal entries in accounting software.
  • Review and audit payroll each pay period prior to processing.
  • Calculate and process manual payroll checks when needed.
  • Process employment changes, garnishments, insurance and voluntary deductions.

  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize duties and meet payroll processing deadlines.
  • Ethical Conduct: High moral integrity and confidentiality required.
  • Technical Capacity: Proven experience and a high level of competency with Office Suite products and payroll systems/software.
  • Communication Proficiency: Effective Communicator (written and verbal) with highly developed organizational skills, and the ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Financial Management: Strong analytical and auditing skills.
  • Payroll Best Practices: Understanding of current payroll concepts and employment regulations.


Education And Experience


  • 10-key Proficient.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Associate's degree (A.A) in related field, or more than three years of related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Experience with multi-state or provincial payrolls (preferred).
  • Two or more years of experience with ADP Workforce Now (preferred)
