Job Description

Summary:


The Payroll and Benefits Supervisor administers the activities related to the company payroll, benefits and HRIS processing. Provides day-to-day direction for payroll, group benefits programs, and compensation processes that are consistent with organizational strategic goals and plans.


What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Supervises daily compensation and benefit operations including survey participation, planning for health and welfare, retirement, and work life benefits.
  • As requested, prepare reports on employee pay, commissions, bonus, time off, leave pay, taxes withholdings, and deductions.
  • Monitors workflow, team assignments, and processing deadlines.
  • Oversee, review, and approve US payroll. Back up for processing payroll.
  • Collects, calculates, and audits data and sends communications for bonus and incentive programs.
  • Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for team.
  • Leads annual Open Enrollment process to include system set up, employee communications, monitoring enrollments, carrier file submission.
  • Assist with annual salary review process, including collection of market data.
  • Verifies accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions.
  • Facilitates 401(k) plan audits by providing records and documentation to the auditor and following process through to the close of the audit.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Displays strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience
  • Five or more years of payroll and benefits experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now highly preferred
  • Proactive and takes the lead on implementation of best practices
