- Reconcile the Payroll GL accounts using Workday, NetSuite and Blackline.
- Support day-to-day payroll administration and time reporting for 1,300+ exempt and nonexempt employees.
- Document payroll processes and procedures
- Build and generate payroll reports.
- Auditing of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation. Calculate commission and stock options.
- Verify compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stay current with changes in the law.
- Answer employee questions and resolve problems regarding payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly posting of regular payroll expense including fringe (employer payroll expense) and accrual journals to general ledger.
- Coordinate payroll vendor system implementations and upgrades. Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A Bachelor' degree and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated accounting system.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Workday and NetSuite required.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Advanced experience in MS Office Excel and Google Sheets
