Job Description
Job Summary:


Vero Networks, a high-growth telecommunications provider with operations throughout the country, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, reconciling payroll records, and ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Additionally, the Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for managing accounts payable, verifying and recording invoices, and ensuring timely payment to vendors.

This role will report to the VP of Finance. This role is virtual and location-neutral, with work-from-home expectations.


Base salary expectation is $50,000-$60,000, commensurate on experience, plus a 10% target annual bonus, exceptional health benefits, and eligibility for company 401K.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage employee benefit deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related deductions.
  • Communicate with employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for accounts payable processes.
  • AP & Payroll Project Support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files and documentation for payroll and accounts payable processes.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and audits.
  • Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports, including aging reports, payment reports, and other analyses as needed.
  • Manage accounts payable functions, including verifying and recording invoices, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
  • Manage new hires, terminations, and manage other off-cycle payroll efforts.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner.


Qualifications:


  • Independence and maturity to work diligently, professionally, and responsibly in a virtual work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of payroll and accounts payable regulations and reporting requirements.
  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll and accounts payable.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
