Foreign banking client seeking a Payments & Investigations Temp

*6 month contract role*

Summary:

Responsible for the daily processing of all payment transactions, primarily in USD and other currencies. Support the day-to-day operations of US Dollar transfers - ensuring correct and timely execution of payments according to deadlines and cutoffs. Ensure all payments adhere to proper authorizations, four-eye principle, funds control (i.e. balance checking), sanctions monitoring (OFAC), proper execution and efficient workflow.

Key Activities/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform first- and second-level review/annotation (of staff operators work) using the sanctions monitoring filter following guidelines.
• Support full life cycle of the initial startup and end-of-day close of: Fedwire, CHIPS, Check Clearing, Check Deposits, SWIFT transfers and ACH processing and addressing, resolving and approving all exceptions that arise in work processed by staff members.
• Ensuring all of the Money Transfer group business continuity processes and procedures are up-to-date and ready for activation.
• Monitoring of daylight overdraft of our Federal Reserve Account.
• Ensure that all payments are processed in strict compliance of bank, IFSA, OFAC & other Regulatory guidelines. Prepare group’s monthly statistical reports.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of US payment formats including CHIPS, Fedwire and SWIFT.
• Working knowledge of USD clearing operations along with ability to learn and understand settlement systems (e.g. CHIPS, Fedwire).
• 4 - 7 years’ experience working in payment operations or product management. Familiarity processing payments for Correspondent Banking customers preferred.
• Ability to work under deadlines and cutoffs.
