Job Position PSR (Medical Receptionist)

Job Type Part-Time (Monday through Thursday, 5 hours shifts per day; 20-24 hours per week. Will work the closing shift, 6pm-7pm end time, at least 3 days a week.)

Job Location 20 Mayo Road Suite 105, Edgewater, MD (Anne Arundel County; outpatient clinic)

• High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and exp.
• Completes insurance claim forms and submits claims to insurance companies.
• Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
• Answers telephone determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards them to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler EMR. Conducts reminder calls to all patients
• Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with addresses, directions, and other information.
• EPIC software knowledge a plus
• Confirms patients' insurance eligibility with insurance companies. Completes insurance claim forms and submits claims to insurance companies.
• EMR scheduling software knowledge a plus
• Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in the computer system
