Job Description
Overview:
Our General Dentistry Practice is looking for a Dental Receptionist in Columbus, GA to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient service. The ideal candidate will require good multitasking skills. Would need to have knowledge in dealing with dental insurance companies, scheduling, checking patients in and out. Comfortable with posting insurance checks and answering phones. Must have strong communication skills and willing to help patients. We provide benefits and a nice work environment.

Hours:
Mon thru Friday 7:45 am to 5:15 pm

Responsibilities:
The Receptionist is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. They will greet patients, sign them in, schedule future appointments, and handle incoming phone calls. They will assist patients in accordance with the training they have received ensuring patients receive the best possible service.
  • Confirming Appointments
  • Register Patients on sign in sheet
  • Respond to patient questions and or concerns according to DCA Policies
  • Maintaining Appointment Book
  • Checking voice-mail on a daily basis
  • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
  • Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal
  • Scheduling Appointments
  • Follow up on no shows/cancellation of Appointments
  • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
  • Answering Telephones
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO), is a plus
  • Experience answering telephone
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • 1+ years experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office, preferred
