Job Description
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Registration Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Patient Registration Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth transition for patients entering our services. Your primary responsibility will be coordinating transition services with internal and external partners, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documentation while delivering exceptional customer service. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with referral sources, account managers, care transition coordinators, as well as our internal nursing, pharmacy, and revenue cycle teams.
Responsibilities
Transition Coordination: Collaborate with external service providers and our Option Care Commercial Team to facilitate the seamless onboarding of new patients onto our services.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate the onboarding process among different functional areas within Option Care, including Pharmacy, Nursing, Warehouse, and Revenue Cycle, to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Relationship Building: Proactively establish and nurture relationships with referral sources, acting as a key point of contact and representative of Option Care. Attend meetings with key accounts to foster strong partnerships.
Communication and Updates: Maintain frequent communication with the Commercial team, providing timely updates on patient referral status and promptly resolving any related issues that may arise.
Documentation and Data Collection: Collect, review, and complete all necessary care transition documents. Actively participate in data collection initiatives to support effective care management.
Confidentiality and Compliance: Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines to safeguard patient and proprietary Option Care information, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Financial Support: Assist patients in setting up autopay, discussing copay assistance plans, foundation assistance plans, and referring patients to the patient pay team when applicable to explore FAA and other payment options.
Qualifications
High School Diploma with 1 year of customer service/account management experience or patient registration/revenue cycle management experience OR an Associate's Degree, LPN, or Pharm Tech license.
Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on meeting quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Proficiency in basic PC skills, including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to identify operational issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Excellent organization and planning skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications & Interests
LPN, RD, or Pharm Tech licensure and/or relevant experience.
