Patient Registrar - Pt (2 Positions)

PT with Benefits, 48 hrs/pp, 0.6 FTE; 4 PM-9 PM, 3:30 PM-11 PM plus EOW noon-10 PM; varies as scheduled.

Job Summary:

Interviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required for upcoming appointment. Explains hospital regulations, such as payment of accounts, and schedule of charges, rights and

responsibilities, HIPAA regulations. Confirms and verifies patient insurance and or payor source. Escorts patient or arranges for escort to assigned room.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. On-the-job training or formal education from six months to one year.

Preferred: Two to three years medical general office experience. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Wage: $17.36 - $28.10
