Patient Account Specialist Jobs

RMH is looking to hire an efficient patient service representative to verify medical insurance benefits for various patient treatments and to follow up with patient on patient balances. To be successful as a patient service representative, you should have an understanding of insurance benefits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence timely patient payments.

Responsibilities:

• Create a positive patient experience
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing discrepancies
• Contact patients to collect and arrange payment plans
• Create and send patient benefit letters
• Coordinate efforts with third party billing company
• Issue patient statements
• Communicating with medical insurances to verify benefits and confirm anticipated patient out of pocket expense
• Actively participate as a team member in resolving issues as they are identified
• Process patient payments

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent organizational skills
• Additional job duties as assigned
• Experience in a healthcare related field, specifically insurance eligibility verification or collection of accounts receivable preferred, with a minimum of 2 years
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Effective communication skills
• Detail-oriented
