The Tennessee Community Health Worker Association (TNCHWA) is working with the grant-funded Community Health Worker Training Program of Tennessee (CHWTPT) to provide professional development and training opportunities for new and existing community health workers in Tennessee.

We are supported by the Tennessee Disability Coalition.

Position Summary:

The Training Coordinator position has been funded as part of a three-year grant through 2026. This is a part-time 20-hour-per-week position. The Part-Time Training Coordinator will report to the Executive Director of the TN Community Health Worker Association.

This position is 100% remote with the expectation that the employee can work with limited supervision from home. There is minimal expectation of travel/travel up to 20% of time.

The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering the training curriculum to community health worker (CHW) trainees and monitoring the trainees’ self-paced progress in the educational platform. The curriculum is based on the CHW competencies including topics such as active listening, being a CHW, cultural humility, etc. This position will also be responsible for working with site supervisors to monitor the trainees’ progress at field/apprentice sites.

The Community Health Worker Training coordinator functions as an employee of the Tennessee Disability Coalition dba Tennessee Community Health Worker Association.

Position Benefits:
