Part-time Field Inspector

Intertek is searching for a Part-time Inspector based in Los Angeles, California to travel to client facilities and perform inspections based on pre-defined specifications. The ideal Part-time Inspector candidate will enjoy working autonomously, have a flexible work schedule, and be comfortable with traveling up to 75% of their work time.

The Part-time Inspector position is responsible for performing inspections at factories and logistic facilities to ensure that products being manufactured are in accordance with established standards and specifications created by the client and/or Intertek.

What you’ll do:

• Make own travel arrangements & maintain expenses to be reimbursed
• Plan and conduct inspections in accordance with scheduling requirements
• Document compliance and non-compliance found during the inspection with accuracy
• Communicate information between facility representatives and Intertek personnel
• Complete and submit reports for each client inspected in a timely manner
• Keep all information confidential to each client
• Inspect products according to clients' standards

What is takes to be successful in this role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 2+ years of experience in quality control (required)
• Ability to understand product specification sheets and perform garment measurements
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• 5+ years of experience in garment industry (required)
• Having knowledge of AQL standards and ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (preferred)
• Ability to travel up to 75%
• Valid Drivers’ License and reliable driving record (required)

The base wage or salary range for this position is $26.00 to $ 28.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
