Accurately communicate technical issues to clients

Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory

Typical inspections should only take 4-6 minutes

Inspections can be completed from your vehicle (most types)

5 day turnaround time to complete most inspections

Make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards and report general property conditions

Take 6+ photos of the property with brief comments.

Ensure works are conducted in accordance with Safety requirements and report any issues to the Transit Wireless Safety Manager

Assist Construction Managers and Field Supervisor on expediting subcontractors.

Ensure approved drawings and their approved revisions are utilized in the field as issued by the Engineering Manager.

Coordinate and participate in inspection requests with Quality Manager, Verizon, subcontractors as required.

Other duties as directed by the Project Manager.

Experience working with contractors or inspection consultants is a big plus.

Associates Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.

OSHA 30 and Authority's Safety Compliance certifications

Prepare, submit, and maintain daily records of work activities, quantities used and conditions at the job site.

Conduct inspections and site observations as required to document the quality of work being installed.

Reports documented work quality issues to the Quality Assurance Engineer and the Resident Engineer.

Redlines contract documents as minor changes are being made in the field.

This is an entry level position, previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.

Review and approve or reject DVD's and flash drives submitted by contractors after they camera the gravity sewer lines for deficiencies

Respond to non-scheduled and emergency inspections as they arise, other assigned duties.

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED Administrator.

Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.

Maintain knowledge and adhere to the latest industry and client procedures and standards as provided by AmSpec Services.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make sound suggestions or recommendations

3 -5 Years of experience in related equipment industry environment.

Preferred prior experience in project management, residential/housing, and/or disaster recovery/mitigation (CDBG-DR or FEMA Programs) is an asset, although not required.

At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field (ex. quality control/assurance, field inspections).

Prior FEMA disaster response and recovery experience.

Preferred technical background, prior experience performing quality control/quality assurance, and/or experience performing field inspections.

Full Covid-19 vaccination is recommended. Mandatory vaccinations and proof of vaccination are subject to client requirements, federal, state or local law.

Reports to the Inspections Team Lead.

Detect cross bored wastewater lines and collect field data through utilizing ESRI GPS software during inspections

Establish a safe work zone including positioning safety items such as traffic cones and signs

Prepare the CCTV Robot and equipment under the direction of the Operator while cleaning and maintaining equipment

Dispatch the tractor unit securely into the pipe utilizing a crane or hook

Mark locations on the job site with utility marking paint

Valid Driver's License with a good driving record

Five years of experience working directly in compliance/regulation with specific emphasis in analytical and communication skills.

Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
