2+ years experience in mold remediation, water restoration, lead/asbestos abatement, HVAC contracting or construction or comparable industry/role, a plus

Travel to the homeowner or rental properties throughout the country to conduct inspections that meet the needs of the customer

Collect property data on mobile devices and upload to cloud-based software using a defined process

Collect environmental samples from properties, package and send to laboratories for further analysis, as needed

Experience with salt marsh harvest mouse.

Experience with California Ridgway’s rail.

Experience with western snowy plover (Charadrius nivosus nivosus) and nesting bird surveys preferred.

Environmental Compliance Inspector - Permian Basin

West Texas or Southeast New Mexico – exact location negotiable

This position may also support other natural resource field operations and surveys in the Permian Basin.

Inspects construction projects to enforce ordinances and the requirements of erosion control, stormwater management, and other related codes and regulations.

$40,000-$60,000 yearly commensurate with experience.

Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment, and of the various stages of construction is a plus.

Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of the conveyance equipment, current elevator codes.

Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate inspection results to clients.

At least 5 years in the Elevator industry required.

Must have a high attention to detail and attention to thoroughly inspect equipment.

Must be able to work on top of high rise buildings and in elevator shafts safely.

Evaluation of Training, Experience & Personal Qualifications: 30%

High School graduation or G.E.D. (General Education Development)

One (1) year of experience in land development, building construction and city land use planning, including inspection and/or supervision.

Knowledge of the City of Detroit Zoning Ordinance and zoning definitions.

Knowledge of the local building code.

Experience reviewing and implementing SPCC/SPC, waste management, noise mitigation, and other environmental protection plans

Provide day-to-day technical support on waste tracking and waste management (field questions and issues from facility personnel regarding proper waste management).

Develop, implement and assure tracking program for waste management and water use.

Minimum +5 years’ experience in environmental compliance in the oil and gas industry.

Working knowledge of federal (EPA, BLM), state (Louisiana, Texas), and local environmental rules and regulations.

Experience liaising with regulatory inspection officers

Responds to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from the public.

Investigates and documents public nuisance complaints involving property maintenance and Substandard and Dangerous Building violations; obtains photographic evidence.

Issues written correspondence and notices regarding violations; communicates necessary corrective action required to property owners; follows up to ensure appropriate compliance.

Initiates legal action against violators as required; prepares and presents case testimony in court.

Identifies and issues repair/demolition notices for substandard structures.

Prepares, updates, maintains, and/or submits a variety of records, reports, and documentation.

Design/Build experience a plus; excellent written and verbal skills required

10 years of relevant experience working on bridges, roadway, and rail construction projects
